 Jack completed the home learning challenge to create your own marble run following our learning around gravity. As you can see he was happy with the outcome! 

Jesus has risen! We celebrated Ascension day on Thursday, here is our art showing Jesus rising to heaven. 

We first looked at New Zealand butterflies and practiced our designs on a paper copy before finalising our masterpieces. 

Check out Henry's awesome work over the past week learning all about space from the wonder of books and then presenting his learning through creating a diorama.   

We have been learning about symbols and signs of lent and their meanings. Check out our display on the wall to show two symbols and also Carlos making his at home! Can you guess what symbols they are? 

Well done to Jack and Henry for receiving the best batter and best bowler trophies on their final day of cricket!   

Our first blog post written as a class!!  Last week and this week we have been swimming along with the rest of NBC at QE2. We go every day for 2 weeks and we go just after morning tea each day. The girls get changed in the hall and the boys get changed in the toilets.  We walk in a line behind Saffron the line leader, then we walk up the stairs into the bus to greet the bus driver lastly sit down quietly on your seat next to a sensible person.  At swimming, we are learning to swim safely, we are learning to:  - Sculling on our backs  - Floating mushrooms - Rocket ships with our hands in the air behind our ears  - Jump safely into the deep pool.  - Learning how to swim on deep surfaces  - Rolling logs  - Back and arm circles to tread the water to stay afloat  - Dolphin dives  - Safety messages  - Strokes such as backstroke  We learn these things in 3 groups with different instructors.
